A site-specific video installation made with local residents from the Knowle West council estate in Bristol. Supported by emerging filmmaker and resident Dee Hassan.

Through interviews with one person born in each decade since Knowle West was built, I, OBJECT reflects on almost a century of lived experience via exploration of the everyday objects people hold dear. Audiences are invited to listen, explore, and shift focus from the Utopian dreams of the architects behind the ‘Garden Estate’ to the voices of the people who have to live on them.

Explore three downstairs rooms, sit down on any empty chairs, listen to headphones and take your time.
